The TIS 1005 is a pocket-size checker for quickly verifying that loop impedance, socket polarity and 30mA RCD operation are all OK on a 13A socket. Indication is by LEDs and buzzer, with three coloured LEDs (green, amber, red) giving an at-a-glance condition — OK, needs attention, or needs urgent attention. Microprocessor-controlled with a built-in self-check, it tests the socket against all possible fault conditions and is the first socket tester to indicate the actual fault — live, neutral or earth. Simple plug-in-and-switch-on operation makes it an ideal initial checker for electricians, housing associations, landlords, council property departments and shopping centres.
